LONDON — Frieze London begins welcoming the general public to its 2026 fair at The Regent’s Park on Thursday, October 15, following an invitation-only preview on October 14. The fair runs through October 18 alongside Frieze Masters, bringing contemporary art and historical collections into conversation.

An international showcase with a cultural memory

According to the organizer’s 2026 program guide, Frieze London includes 172 galleries from 42 countries and regions. Exhibitions range from emerging artists in the Focus section to larger solo presentations by established names.

Two presentations particularly illustrate the fair’s range. Artist Dalton Paula, presented by Lisson Gallery, explores Afro-Brazilian history through portraiture and remembrance. Artist Myrlande Constant, presented by Fort Gansevoort, creates intricately embroidered Haitian drapo, works rooted in textile craftsmanship and Vodou visual traditions. These presentations are artistic expressions, not claims that the entire fair represents any one cultural tradition.

Art across generations

Frieze Masters, held nearby, features artistic work across historical periods, while Frieze London emphasizes contemporary practices. Together they offer viewers a way to see how makers preserve, challenge and reinterpret forms of memory, identity and material culture.

The official visitor schedule lists Frieze London general-admission hours for October 15 as 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. London time. Admission is ticketed, while the outdoor Frieze Sculpture program in the park is free to explore through November 1.

What to watch

Beyond art-market sales, this year’s programming creates a space where embroidery, painting, sculpture and historical research intersect. The curatorial selections make cultural continuity part of a living, evolving art scene rather than something confined to museum archives.
