MILWAUKEE — Workforce-solutions firm ManpowerGroup reported third-quarter revenue of approximately $4.8 billion on October 15, a year-over-year increase of 4% as reported. The company’s official quarterly release points to improved staffing demand and a stronger U.S. Manpower business amid ongoing efforts to streamline operations.
What the earnings show
Net earnings increased to $34.1 million from $18.0 million a year earlier. Reported diluted earnings were $0.71 per share, compared with $0.38 in the year-earlier quarter. Management also reported adjusted earnings of $1.01 per share after excluding specified charges, but that non-GAAP measure should not be confused with the $0.71 reported result.
Revenue grew approximately 5% on a constant-currency basis, reflecting the impact of exchange-rate movements on an international company. ManpowerGroup said its Northern Europe business grew and that trends improved at Experis, its professional-staffing brand.
Leadership change ahead
Alongside the results, the company announced that Becky Frankiewicz is expected to become chief executive officer on January 1, 2027, with Jonas Prising moving to executive chair. The transition has been announced but is not yet effective.
Why the labor-market signal matters
Staffing-company results offer one perspective on employers’ willingness to hire temporary workers and contract specialists. Growth at a single company is not a complete measure of national employment, but its revenue and segment commentary provide useful business context for workers, employers and investors.
The company forecast fourth-quarter diluted earnings per share between $1.03 and $1.13; forecasts are forward-looking and subject to changing labor conditions.
